IT Setup and Help
For any information technology needs, please submit your request to the UADA ITS help desk. Create a support ticket online or contact the UADA ITS help desk directly at tickets@uada.edu or 479 575-3420.
Visit the UADA ITS Knowledge Base to access forms, policies, and other information (must be signed into your UADA account).
New Computer Purchases
For research personnel (Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station), the purchase and setup of computers and major peripherals (monitors, printers, scanners, docking stations, chargers) must go through UADA ITS. Submit a ticket to submit a Computer Order Request.
Note that computers, printers, tablets, and other significant hardware cannot be purchased with a P-Card.
Software Purchases
The UA-Fayetteville ITS group offers free licenses for many types of software. For word processing and other basic software, access is extended to all faculty, whereas for certain specialty software, you must request approval. Visit the UA-Fayetteville IT Software page for a list of licensed software and request links.
UADA ITS also provides access to software products. Visit the UADA approved software and purchase request form to learn more (must be signed in to your UADA account).
Software not offered directly by UA-Fayetteville or UADA ITS, including online subscriptions and annual renewals, must be approved through UADA ITS before purchase. Please access the UADA Division approved software and purchase request form for more information.
Software purchases cannot be made using a U of A P-card. All UADA software acquisitions must be routed through the UADA ITS department to undergo legal, contractual, and security reviews. The UADA ITS team will manage this process and workflow for all software purchases.
Installation of software and hardware (e.g., printers, analytical tools, programming packages, etc. ) on UADA computers requires an administrative password, and is typically handled by the UADA ITS Help Desk. Search your UADA computer for the UADA Company Portal and Admin By Request. If connected to the UADA domain, these tools should be installed. These two tools allow users to install and update their own software, while also allowing a user to elevate their privileges to Administrator.
In some circumstances, UADA ITS provides the option to request administrative rights for your computer via the Administrative Rights Request Form.
