Guest WIFI Instructions

Body

UADA guests are welcome to connect to the unsecure GUEST wifi network. These instructions cover the process of connecting and agreeing to the terms of use policy for the following guest networks:

  • UADA-GUEST
  • 4H-GUEST
  • JCEC-GUEST
  • NERREC-GUEST

Universal Instructions (OS specific instructions linked below):

  • Select xxxx-GUEST from your list of available networks.
  • Once the device connects to the network, it should automatically open your web browser and display the site-specific "Guest Wireless Terms of Use" webpage.
  • Read the policy and check the box next to “I accept the terms and conditions”
  • Click on Sign In.
  • You are now connected and can use the xxxx-GUEST wifi network while on campus.

Windows

  • Select the Windows network connection icon from the system tray (bottom right) to expand the available connections menu.
  • Click on "xxxx-GUEST" from the list.
    • Note: Do not check the Connect Automatically box if this is just a temporary connection.
  • Click on Connect.
  • Your default browser will automatically open and navigate to the "Guest Wireless Terms of Use" webpage.
  • Read the policy and check the box next to I accept the terms and conditions. Then click on Sign In.
  • You are now connected and can use the xxxx-Guest wifi network while on campus.

Android

  • Go to Settings and Wi-Fi.  
  • Select "xxxx-GUEST" from the list of available networks.
  • Once the device connects to the network, it should automatically open Chrome.
  • The "Guest Wireless Terms of Use" webpage is shown.
  • Read the policy and check the box next to I accept the terms and conditions. Then click on Sign In.
  • You are now connected and can use the "xxxx-GUEST" wifi network while on campus.

iPhone/iPad

  • Go to Settings and Wi-Fi
  • Select "xxxx-GUEST" from the list of available networks.
  • Once the device connects to the network, it should automatically open Safari.
  • The "Guest Wireless Terms of Use" webpage is shown.
  • Read the policy and check the box next to I accept the terms and conditions. Then click on Sign In.
  • You are now connected and can use the "xxxx-GUEST" wifi network while on campus.

MAC OS

  • Go to Settings.   
  • Choose Network from the options.
  • Select Wi-Fi on the left.
  • Select "xxxx-GUEST" from the list of available networks.
  • Once the device connects to the network, it should automatically open Safari and display the "Guest Wireless Terms of Use" webpage.
  • Read the policy and check the box next to “I accept the terms and conditions”. Then click on Sign In.
  • You are now connected and can use the "xxxx-GUEST" wifi network while on campus.
